Muscle Stretching - TRICEPS

Stretch your triceps - Triceps stretching

It is important that muscles are stretch before and after exercise, especially if a specific muscle has been wsed during the performance of a particular movement.

For example, during upper body presses tjg tpiceps play a major part in the execution of these movements. Thus, this area should be stretched thoroughly prior and after the exercise.

Purpose

To increase blood flow into the upper arms and shoulders.

Muscles involved

The triceps as well as some involvement from the deltoids.

Performance guidelines

• Reach for the ceiling with one arm.
• Hold the arm up in a relaxed - straight manner.
• Place this arm's hand at the base of your neck.
• Use your other hand to pull the elbow down.
• Hold for 20 - 30 seconds. Repeat 2 - 3 times.
• Remember to stretch both arms.
